Melanie: The fact that 100% of the funds raised are going directly to the purchase of this much needed equipment should be reason enough to support the cause. Everything else is fantastic icing!

witchypoo: No flowers in the drinks. Sometimes I have to reach into Creative Commons licensed photos to capture the ideas because my iPhone camera often doesn’t cut it.

Ben: Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to physically participate but you can be sure that I’ll be sponsoring the Halifax Chicks team and doing my part to spread the word.

Great post – I’m so excited to be raising money for this event. In addition to the rarity of having 100% of the funds going to the cause, something that really stands out for me is that we have a tangible goal. In supporting this cause (whether by donating, participating or spreading the word) we will be bringing much needed digital mammography equipment to the QEII and increasing the volume of mamoagrams in our own city/province by 75%.

It’s nice to know exactly where our fundraising dollars are going at the end of the day, and to be able to benefit from them personally.
