Over at Seen Reading literary voyeur Julie Wilson recently had a webtastrophy and needed some help to house some orphaned poets in her National Poetry Month feature 30 in 30. So, being a neighbourly kind of blogger, I agreed to post three East Coast poets (and Microsoft Sam) here for your listening pleasure.
Jacob McArthur Mooney is a Nova Scotian now living in Mississauga, Ontario. He is an editor of ThievesJargon.com and the founder of The Facebook Review. A graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland, he is currently an MFA student at the University of Guelph. His work has been widely published, and in 2006 he was shortlisted for the CBC Literary Award in Poetry. The New Layman’s Almanac is his first book.

James Langer is a poetry editor for The Fiddlehead, Canada’s longest living literary journal based out of the University of New Brunswick. His poems have been published in numerous literary journals, including TickleAce, lichen, Arc, Grain, Event, The Fiddlehead, The Newfoundland Quarterly, The Antigonish Review, and Riddle Fence. Originally from St. John’s, he now lives in Fredericton.

Patrick Warner won the E. J. Pratt Poetry Award for his collection There, there. His first collection of poetry, All Manner of Misunderstanding, was nominated for the Atlantic Poetry Prize as well as the Newfoundland and Labrador Book Awards. His work has been published in TickleAce, The Fiddlehead, Matrix, Signal, the Sunday Telegram (St. John’s), Poetry Ireland Review, and Metre (Ireland). He lives in St. John’s.
