On sleep deprivation

As those of you who follow me on Twitter know, last week was the busiest week in the year for me in terms of work. Thus, the East Coast Guest Posts to cover for what would otherwise have been my slacking off on the blog. (Thanks again to my guests!) Well, here’s a little insight into what the combination of stress and lack of sleep result in for me.

Brides in space

After coming off of a crazy work day I found myself electronically stranded on my bus ride home. I was already overtired but I tend to stay connected to the web until I get home. On this sleepy ride home after a long day, my iPhone battery died so I had nothing better to do than daydream.

A downside to weddings in space

A downside to weddings in space

Somehow, I got into my mind that a cool business of the future would be called:

Cosmoknot.

That’s right, weddings in space.

Richard Branson, call me when Virgin Galactic would like to talk. Come on, it’s better than Virgin Weddings, isn’t it?

Of course, having a Bridezilla in space might be reason to reinstate talks of the Star Wars strategic defense initiative.

(Notice and be amazed by my skills with Photoshop!)

The power of Isaac Mendez compels you

Oh, please don’t hate me for posting a full dog-related topic here. I know, save it for the dog blog, right?

Well, this one was just too weird.

Anyone who has ever kept the company of a cat or dog knows what I’m talking about here. It has to do with their sleep and the fact that they have a third eyelid.

Yeah, you read that right. I thought about posting a picture but didn’t want to gross you out.

Oh, alright, if you’re really that interested go here.

Gross, right?

Well, combined with sleep deprivation last week while staring at Tofu’s third eyelid I imagined him having the powers of Isaac Mendez. You know, from Heroes? No? Sigh. Just don’t judge me.

Anyway, I totally digress.

This is all to say that my brain works in mysterious ways. Can my dog see into the future? Only opposable thumbs would tell.

  1. Congrats on your new digs. Why the move, out of curiosity. I did the same thing a couple years ago, moving from a blogspot to my own domain. Mostly to learn more.

    • Gifted: Thanks. I decided to move to my own domain because of the limitations of WordPress.com and I wanted to be able to do more in terms of scripting/coding. So, you’ll be seeing a lot of add-ons in the months to come now that I’ve got more time on my hands..!

  2. Clever click chick, you are!
Just watch the bandwidth. I busted mine in the first month of self-hosting, not realizing that all those lovely pictures I was posting on my own site were eating up space.
It’ll be great to meet up at a tweet-up or something to exchange notes.
